Hey there, I am Jenna! Owner/Head Trainer

I studied Kinesiology at VIU and have more than 10 years of experience in the fitness industry.

 

For over 8 years, I have led a variety of high-energy group classes, from stretch and mobility to HIIT, creating a fun and supportive training environment that helps individuals feel stronger and more confident.

 

I am passionate about building strength not only physically but also mentally and socially, by bringing people together and empowering them to take charge of their fitness journeys while discovering their true potential.

Having personally lost over 30 lbs through nutrition and exercise, I understand the physical and mental hurdles that come with this journey.

 

It's essential to have a supportive community where you can be your true, authentic self without fear of judgment.

 

At Oceanside Strength Academy, I am committed to creating a welcoming and motivating environment, allowing everyone to pursue their goals in a judgment-free space where individuals of all shapes and sizes can flourish.

I believe by taking a community focused approach to fitness I can help bring those who are new to fitness together with the more experienced to create an environment that we can support & learn from one another. 

I specialize in functional fitness because I know that you have a life outside of the gym & by training my clients for life’s everyday movements in & out of the gym is going to help prevent injuries & build stronger bodies for life & all its activities.

 

When I’m not in the gym, you’ll find me chauffeuring my youngest daughter to all her activities,  wrangling in our many, MANY animals & enjoying a coffee or a beer out on the patio!

Meet Our Amazing Trainers!

Hey there I am Ceilidh (Kaylee). I've been teaching yoga since 20202 & love every minute of it! I did not grow up athletic or involved in sports. It wasn't until I was almost 30 that I started working out! After taking group classes in every fitness style available to me, I started training to lead them, My first certification was for Spin, but Yoga stood out as my favourite way to move my body. I love yoga because it goes beyond physical practice & can support a calm mental/ emotional state, contributing to a better overall sense of wellness.

Along with my 200-hour Yoga training, I am also certified as a children's Yoga teacher & I am currently working towards getting recertified as a Personal Trainer. I am always finding ways to continue learning & growing my understanding of how the human body works. I look forward to eventually bringing my Yoga practice together with my Personal Training as pairing strength & flexibility together is incredible.

As I quickly approach 40, I am again beginning to reintroduce strength training into my routine. My body has shaped-shifted through child-rearing & I have lost a lot of the strength I once had. I want to challenge myself & rediscover how physically strong I can be. In doing so, I want to set a good example for my children as they grow. I also want to encourage other people new to fitness or reprioritizing after a hiatus, like myself. We all start at the beginning & sometimes get to start over so we can learn more the second time around.

Yoga at Home

Hey! I am Jaimee my educational background is in Rehabilitation Assistance where I learnt how to run group exercise classes. I also have previous experience as a spin instructor where I owned a boutique fitness studio. I have created a mat class called Rejuvenate that incorporates various disciplines that are used in traditional rehabilitation, Pilates, Barre, Weight Training, Band and Body Resistance.

My classes will be gentle enough if you are just entering your first class but also challenging enough if you are highly experienced.
